I was completely captivated by the album cover but I knew that there is something here far too sinister for it to look too good. Then it hit me. After listening to the whole thing I realized that each track has a purpose. Their sense of individuality as a "track" ceases to exist and has become as a new feminine astral being that has been unified chaotically right before your naked eyes. It is made of a youthful being...

And it will hurt you to its core.
10/10 for this. Die Dunkelheit Des Mondes

Easily the most eerie, dusty, melodic dungeon synth I have ever bore witness to...I've played this vinyl more times than nearly all other DS in my collection and it never gets old, LOM is a phenomenal artist all round and from his brutal endeavours like Chasing the path of the hidden master, to this elite tier synth masterpiece, hes definitely one to watch for future releases... Can you have your black metal with no moronic samples, with guitars downtuned to drill holes in your very self, hypnotizing bass lines, drums that are something more than blast beats and vocals that don't need to be soaked in reverb, and on top of it fast, melodic, headbanging and catchy?
Yes.

I was afraid Wintherr had finally sold out when I saw how short the tracks are. How, I asked, does one pack an epic journey through cold and darkness into 5-6 minutes? Actually hearing this album assuaged my fears. This is not music for wandering, but for dances around ritual bonfires and masked processions through the streets. Different in structure from Paysage d'Hiver's usual work, but not in feeling or spirit. It's just as frigid and subtle as one could hope, just more energetic. a_human
